COMMENTS: A photo of this watercolor painting graced the cover of the brochure for a one-person show of my work in a Seattle, Washington gallery several years ago. Each year when the rhododendrons of the Pacific Northwest start blooming I'm ready to paint them again. I did a series of these paintings from my yard that was filled with specimen rhododendrons a landscape designer selected so that they would bloom sequentially through the entire blooming season.
