TITLE:           "Neskowin Rocks"

MEDIUM:       Acrylic on stretched canvas

COMMENTS:  Neskowin is a small beachfront village on the Pacific Ocean in the state of Oregon where I've spent many summer days and even cold, rainy winter days. At the end of the long sandy beach a fresh water creek empties into the ocean. To prevent bank erosion these large rocks were added to the sandy banks. I spent a lot of mornings enjoying the sunrise and scenery from this vantage point. The contrast of sturdy rocks and slipping sand is the subject of this painting. When I painted this painting I was believing God to be my rock in the midst of moving sands in my personal life.
