TITLE:           "Roots"

COMMENTS: I saw this tree with its roots showing because of erosion of the soil bank. The light glancing on the autumn leaves at its base gave me the idea for the many colors in this painting. I built up the surface of the canvas to provide texture that catches the light in interesting ways. The composition for this painting came to me in a dream and refers to the New Testament quotations referring to being rooted and grounded in love in Christ.
