COMMENTS: This watercolor painting is one of a trio of horses who would stand in their dry southern Oregon pasture and look longingly over the fence to the lush green grasses growing in the irrigation ditch on my mother's side of the fence. They also knew that she felt sorry for them and would provide a handout occasionally.
