TITLE:           "Lynda's Irises #2"

MEDIUM:       Oil on stretched canvas

COMMENTS: In my garden I used to grow irises just like these so naturally I wanted to paint again the purple and white contrast in these flowers. I painted these with quick painterly strokes as I raced against the short life of the flowers. I was pleased with the spontaneity of this oil painting and eager to do more. The edges of the canvas are painted even though the staples show so that the painting could be displayed with or without a frame.
