TITLE:           "Lynda's Irises #3"

COMMENTS: My neighbor Lynda had a variety of irises this year that provided me with lots of painting possibilities. These delicate blossoms in a very light peach color lasted only a day or two in the hot sun. The bright colors of the sky make a wonderful background for the nearly white flowers. 

I think I'd like to paint the fragile petals of this iris in watercolor to catch their transparency. I painted the edges of the canvas even though the staples show so that you can display the painting with or without a frame.
