TITLE:           "Special Petunias"

MEDIUM:       Acrylic on masonite panel

SIZE:             8 x 10"

COMMENTS:  When I purchased several varieties of petunias as bedding plants this year I knew I would be surprised by the colors. One day when watering the garden I noticed that pink blossoms and periwinkle blossoms were on the same stem! What a surprise! The bright pink flowers changed to a periwinkle blue as they started to fade and dry up.

That was the challenge in this painting, to paint these gorgeous colors. Someone who loves pastel pinks, lavenders, and sage greens will find this a stunning piece of fine art.
