TITLE:           "Down in the Valley"

COMMENTS: On the western side of the Cascade Mountains in southern Oregon ranches are hidden away in the valleys off the interstate freeway. In the springtime all the fields are green, and the irrigation ditches are full of mountain run off water. In summer the fields are more yellow and brown in the hot sun. In a valley similar to this one, a member of our family owns a sheep and cattle ranch.
