TITLE:           "Mauve Tulips"

COMMENTS: For Mother's Day one of my daughters sent a colorful bouquet of irises, lilies, chrysanthemums, and tulips. Lots of oranges, reds, yellows, brilliant blue-purples. Amid all those colors were a few soft, velvety mauve tulips.  I loved the mauve tulips and the challenge to paint their subtle colors. So, what was already drawn as a second tulip garden from my neighbor's yard became the perfect subject for me to play with the colors that make a mauve. That's my fun, playing with colors. Sometimes they are the colors in front of me, often they are the colors I "discover" in mixing paints.

This small painting comes to you unframed. The size works well in a standard 8 x 10" mat. Ready-made frames that size are available at craft and framing shops. What a lovely gift idea for someone!
