ORIGINAL PAINTING OF A SUNFLOWER

Colors are my fun. I had not used the color Antwerp Blue in a long time, so I mixed it with other blues and yellows to provide the background for this watercolor of a sunflower from my yard in the summer. I really like the contrast of the blues with the yellows in the flower head.
For a home show I displayed this painting in a white 16 x 20" mat with a dark, dark blue liner. It's yours free with this painting. Enjoy!

I've signed this painting with a reference to a biblical verse in the Song of Songs or Song of Solomon," ...the flowers appear on the earth..." which gives me inspiration for much of my floral painting, God's poetical words about restoration.
