TITLE:           "Window Box Flowers"

COMMENTS: I've had this idea for a painting a long time. It seems a perfect time in the cold of winter to dream of warm sunshine in my garden. Because I use a lot of petunias each summer for color spots, I made the flowers in this watercolor suggestive of petunias. I am pleased how this small watercolor turned out because it shows clear colors and expressive brush strokes similar to the other small watercolor with a cottage motif. It, too, is definitely a very feminine painting. 

I've added a close up view of  this art piece to show the variety of colors I achieved with a limited palette. I had a lot of fun mixing them to make color shapes.

This small painting comes to you unframed. The size works well in a standard 8 x 10" mat, but it will look even better in a custom sized mat. Ready-made frames that size are available at craft and framing shops. What a lovely gift idea for someone!
