COMMENTS: This colorful painting of sunflowers
developed from abstract color strokes with a #6 Bright brush. I
applied a few colors and then looked at the composition for weeks before
it seemed to suggest sunflowers to me.
I started to develop a composition from the brushstrokes without losing
the spontaneity of the colors. The sunflower head looked like a
patchwork quilt so I focused on that motif. I had a lot of fun painting
The painting comes to you unframed. It is
sealed with varnish on both sides of the paper so you can frame with or
without glass. A light colored mat would really accent the bright
