horses, especially pleasure horses, in watercolors,
acrylic paintings, mixed media art depicted in rural settings in both originals and
prints.
A
love of horses started for her as a youngster. Animals were always a part of
her family's life. A palomino mare and her sorrel colt were her eighth
graduation gift. Those two were later replaced with
her favorite horse, a black Morgan gelding with some Arabian blood in him. He was a very versatile
horse, a wonderful mount for riding in the mountains. The western art
she paints is inspired by her
family's ranch life experiences in California and Oregon.
